There are 107 Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in the United States of America. THE INUKA BLACK COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES (IBCU) selection/ranking athletic committee will choose and invite on March 17th/19th the nation’s top 10 men’s and top 10 women’s HBCU basketball teams to compete in the inaugural INUKA - IBCU 2026 National Basketball Championship tournament for March 22nd – 26th, 2026 in Atlanta, GA. The Inuka – IBCU 2026 National Basketball Championship tournament will include play-in games, an interdivisional pool-play tournament, an All-Star Game and the INUKA - IBCU 2026 National Basketball Championship Game.
